Five simple options for advertising on New Zealand's most active Macintosh news, reviews and discussion site.
NZMac.com is an independent site dedicated to supporting the Macintosh community in New Zealand. It has the largest discussion forum in New Zealand (both in terms of the number of registered users and postings) on Mac-related matters and draws upon a diverse and enthusiastic range of Macintosh users from around the country and overseas. 1. "Focus On..." feature story
Exclusively for New Zealand Mac-related businesses. This is an opportunity to provide more information about your services to Mac users in New Zealand via the NZMac.com website. Details are available on this page.
2. Paid banner advertising
All banners are 468 by 60 pixels (JPG, PNG or GIF - no animations) and are charged on a basic price per banner per month fee. There's no confusion or worry about advert impressions or clicks...just pay and have your advert displayed. There are two advertising areas available on the website..
Top-right, high frequency banner rotation scheme. This banner area is a shared advertising location, visible at all times. A new banner is loaded every time a page loads or refreshes on the site. Cost = 1x BaseRate* per month.
Section advertising - exclusive sponsorship of an entire section of the NZMac.com website. Have your banner advert appear on every page of that section. Note that the News section sponsorship does not include the banner appearing on the front page of the site and the discussion forum is excluded. Cost = 2x BaseRate* per month.
3. Free advertising - Competition sponsorship - Encouraging contributions from the NZMac.com community
A favourite of NZMac.com, this approach sees companies providing their products as prizes in competitions that encourage contributions from the NZMac.com site users. Full details of your product are listed as part of the competition and all images/details of your product remain on the contest details page after the competition has concluded. Examples of previous competitions that have encouraged users to contribute to the site include submitting useful bookmarks, reviews, How To/Tips/Tricks and a site survey seeking extensive feedback from users of the site.
4. Free advertising - Product reviews - From your company to an NZMac.com user
Providing your items for use in a review for the site is an excellent way to tell New Zealand Mac users about your product and to support those actively contributing to the site. It promotes the development of the NZMac.com community and provides a feeling of goodwill from all those involved. If you are interested in providing a product for review, a call will be made to the members of the site to express an interest in reviewing the product. A selection process will then take place and you then provide the product to the reviewer (an NFR copy of your product if you wish). The selected community member will be given guidance on how to complete the review and all reviews will become part of the review section. It is expected that instead of direct advertising costs, your company will allow the reviewer to keep the product or receive some form of acknowledgement by the company if the cost of the product prohibits it being kept.

5. Page Peel advertising - Exclusive, prominent, interactive
Page Peel advertising is an exclusive advertising opportunity. Only one advertiser per month is allowed and priority is given to those who have not advertised before, to ensure a variety of ads are shown.
