Saturday 1 AM - Things seem to be going OK (with a few glitches that have caused a moment or two of panic! Always keep a backup on hand!). Most of the migration and new set up is done...but it's all looking a bit messy. Tomorrow will be spent tidying and fixing up CSS issues etc...as much as I can before going live. Then write a couple of articles and things should be good to go. At this rate, it could be earlier than the night of Sunday, but we'll see. See ya!

 

Friday 4:50 PM - Just want to apologise to those using RSS feeds, the widgets etc. As content is migrated across, the RSS feeds realise there's content and update the feeds (with old posts I know) so it looks like the site is back online. Upon clicking, you find the site is still offline. Sorry, but that's just how it is going to be for 48 hours or so.

 

Friday 2 PM - Hi Folks...still plodding along. Gradually building back menu structures, changing a few things around and migrating images off the old site (yep, it is a clean out, not just overwriting old files with new). Still on track for Sunday night...could be earlier, but we'll see. Thanks for your patience.

 

Friday 2:15 AM - Backup of site done. Installation of Joomla 1.5 CMS went OK. Migration of article content to new version of CMS done (but lots to tidy up) and forum content has been brought across. So the site is working...now to spend the next couple of days adding everything back in. Enough for tonight :-)
