hello i am for the firts time on a old powerbook 100 but he won,t boot.
only a icon with a bad face icon and underneed the numbers 03021300 and 00001FFA
this powerbook has al longtime years not used,and it's with a external foppy disk.
Is it possible to get a bootfloppy with also systemtools on it.
Maybe I can get it then back on the air.With experts help offcourse,I am a newbie with this old system

I work self with a macbook pro but i find it nice to get this oldie back into life again.

This is an ugly hacky fix, but it worked for my husband's computer which was having a similar issue.

Go to applications, open the utilities folder, and bring up terminal.

At the prompt, type find unzip. It should say /usr/bin/unzip.

Type the following command exactly as an admin user

sudo mv /usr/bin/unzip /usr/bin/unzip.backup

Enter your login password when prompted.

That renames the powerpc unzip utility, and made the errors stop on my husband's iMac.

Hi, New here also fairly new to Mac changed over mid last year.
I have a question re Address Book and iCal, I have entered birthdates into address Book only to have them come up a day early in iCal, have checked the date and time setting and all seems to okay. Also I use Canon Image Browser for my photos, I notice that the capture dates are wrong when up loading images. It looks like by about 12 hours, any photo taken before mid day ends up under yesterdays date.

Has any one else come across this and if so how do I resolve it.
Any help would be greatly apprecated.

Hi guys,

In my File Sharing, Apple logo (top left) --> System Prferences --> Sharing,
then select 'File Sharing', click Option button, I will then see the 2 invisible
accounts beside mine. When I try to remove it by deselecting it, it ask me for a password I
have no idea of. See the attached image.

Does anyone know whats going on or have I stumbled on something fishy, say
backdoor to monitor user's File Share???
