I use LibraryThing....

I loved the first edition of Delicious Library - but the long delay in the release of v2, meant I shifted to a different approach, of using LibraryThing - an online cataloging service (www.librarything.com) which uses many many sources for bibliographic data (not just Amazon). I would really like it if Delicious Library synced with LibraryThing - that would give me best of both worlds! - Fastred

I was kind of hoping that there was something like the Compact Disc Database (CDDB) for UPC codes.... - Mark Jefferies

From my trial the DVD support for region 4 is rather poor. It uses Amazon to look up the UPC codes and since there is no Amazon in region 4 you might as well not bother. It is excellent for books and very good for CDs but its DVD support lets it down unfortunately.

This may be the reason I upgrade to Leopard :)

I'll be really interested to see how good the UPC database is for Region 4 DVD's.

I've just downloaded a trial version of "Movie Collector" and even brought a bar code scanner to make scanning in the titles a breeze. Unfortunately only about 1 in 8 DVD UPC scans brought up titles.

I have well over 400 DVD's so at the end of the day I'd end up typing the bulk of them manually - a shame really.
