Paul provides insight into how Renaissance first started and the strong education focus it began with. When Macs were first released Renaissance were quick to establish a Mac presence in Schools and this approach to the education sector sees Apple market share in New Zealand amongst one of the highest world-wide.

Paul talks about the exciting times in recent Apple history that sees users share in an environment of “awesome computers, stunning software and of course the iPod phenomenon.”

“It’s amazing, that year after year”, he comments, “Apple continues to prove to the world that it leads the way in innovation and design.”

Turning to focus on the New Zealand business market, Paul comments...

“New Zealand has one of the most isolated, yet deregulated and competitive economies in the world, and this in itself creates all sorts of challenges.”

He talks about the Apple team within the Renaissance Corporation and the commitment of these staff and how dedicated they are to the Apple business,  and talks about their drive and enthusiasm which sees Renaissance achieve one of the highest market shares for Apple products in the world.

Nearing the end of his podcast, Paul discusses the Mac user base in New Zealand.

“There’s a large group of incredibly loyal Apple users in New Zealand. And our user base continues to grow. I’d like to say thanks to all of you for the support  you have shown over the years.”

“This is a great time to be involved with Apple”, Paul concludes, “and I’m sure we can all look forward to further innovation and many more exciting times ahead.”

NZMac.com would like to thank Paul for taking part in this, the first podcast from the NZMac.com site, and for taking the time to put together such an excellent broadcast. On a personal note, I’d like to thank him for acknowledging the site and its contribution to the Macintosh community in New Zealand.
