In NZMac.com's first ever enhanced podcast , Jo Booth, a Trustee for the MovieFest charitable trust talks about the short movie competition, how it all started and why you should be rushing to join in.
An enhanced podcast uses the m4a format to deliver audio, images and clickable links from within the podcast. Subscribe via iTunes to the podcast and you can experience enhanced functionality that Jo described as amazingly easy to create with GarageBand.
Discussing the history of the festival, Jo talks about how the group selected the name (because of a number of alternatives ideas they had) and how the festival has now moved beyond something that might be seen as purely a Mac event, into al all-encompassing festival that sees a huge range of entries....admittedly with many entrants still taking advantage of Apple's awesome digital technology.
With regional finals in Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch, as well as three entry categories (Primary and Intermediate Schools, Secondary Schools and Hobbyists) there's an opportunity there for everyone to get on board and get creating!
