Hi all,

I'm off to Kuala Lumpur soon courtesy of Adobe, who have invited me to present at an education leadership conference about the use of the Adobe Connect conferencing system that I brought into Massey University. I'll be taking a few days off to go to go and see Singapore. I wondered if anyone had any ideas of good places there to shop for Mac products.....although after saying that, I'm not really in the market for anything. Just thought people might know of a "Mac mecca" that might be worth checking out?

No idea these days, but 10years back when living there, Sim Lim Sq was the spot for anything tech from raw materials to finished products.

The Singapore Apple Center is at the bottom of Orchard Road, left hand side, in the corner building of the Ngee Ann shopping mall, you can't miss it. Huge round glass facade with the Apple logo on it. Don't expect any reasonable prices, though,. Singapore is a fullprice territory for Apple...

Thanks....as I say, I'm not so much in the market for anything as just liking to take a break and visit a cool looking Apple-related store. No offence to DTSL, but we don't really have any stunning Mac shops in town

Now, if you want to go for some REAL technology madness, go to SIM LIM tower, $6 cab ride from bottom of Orchard Road, and you will tour a 5-floor building with 40-60 electronics stores on each floor, and prices getting cheaper as you go up. It's a 'must see', and people often use a 1-2 hours layover at the airport to rush to SIM LIM just to sock up on the newest gadgets at prices well below duty free levels at Changi Airport. There is no place like this anywhere, and even Hong Kong back street outlets don't come close to quality, selection and prices.

Sounds awesome thanks. Haven't had a holiday in ages, so looking forward to it. Even better that Adobe are kindly covering the work part of it in KL...better get back to working on my presentation.
