Your iBook is too new to support booting in Mac OS 9 sadly. If you install it from disk, all that it should allow is the installation of the Mac OS 9 files into the classic environment locations for Mac OS X to find.

I managed to get 2 games to load into Apps for os9 but when you go to play them, they say that they require disk xx.
What were the games? If the copy protection isn't too tight, it may be possible to make disk copies of them under Classic, and then mount them as 'virtual disks' under Classic thus allowing the game to find them.

Oh - nice idea but...

"The Image Disk operation did not complete - an unexpected end-of-file was encountered which may indicate it is corrupted or damaged."

On all the disks I tried too.

A friend is sending me the demo version of Myst V on disk (since I'm only on lowly dial-up) so I shall give that a go and see if I want to purchase it.

Why don't you pop into Warehouse as they have a special on Myst IV and other versions for 24.95 at present and I have Myst IV Revelation and it is so awesome to play.
