It is possible technically with a hacked copy of OS X. However it is outside the EULA of Mac OS X - i.e. frowned upon by Apple.

Technically? Yes. If you have the right hardware, and don't mind problems with updates.

Legally? Questionable. Whether an EULA is actually binding under New Zealand Law I'm not sure of. I don't know that there's case law or not.

One of several sites that show it can be done. Whether is should be done is whole different ball game

One of the guys at work did this on his work laptop and I had to laugh.

You can do it if you really want to spend ages trying to find drivers for your setup, hacking the machine to fool Mac OS X to think that the BIOS is actually EFI. It just seems unMaclike but very Windowslike which in my mind defeats the purpose.

To be honest get a copy of Ubuntu instead, although that's not without its problems either.

OS X would be far more unstable too. A friend of mine did it and he got KPs every half hour or so.

Not worth the effort, I'm sure you'd agree!

I reckon that it is worth the challenge, got to be better than running XP. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
