Hey everyone. So I purchased my first mac with ambitions of being an alternative for My Sky w. benefits.
I have 4 computers in the house. Lunix (Kubuntu), 3x XP Pro (all running on Sony Vaio and IBM laptops of various types) and 1 Mac mini all connected wirelessly but not at the same time.
I've noticed a considerable drop in speed going from the Sony to the Mac. Is there somehow how to change the channel in the Airport to use channel 11 as I suspect by default it is not.
I'm using Leopard for my OS and there doesn't seem to be an option. There are no Applications for Airport Administration as suggested by some other websites out there (I assume this is only available to non PCI models).
.macmini:~ macmini$ ping 192.168.1.2
PING 192.168.1.2 (192.168.1.2): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.1.2: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=2.200 ms

This is not as high on any other computer apart from this one even when sending 64b. The router I use in a Netgear DG834G configured to use channel 11.
Also some other niggly things... the home and end buttons. has anyone else out there got that sorted? I made the KeyBindings file w. a restart and still nothing... very annoying.
Other than these 2 things my plan is all coming together mu ah ah aaah.
Cheers for listening to my ramble.
