I have iweb 09 on my macbook and would like to export this data to my Imac G5 machine and import the data with my other iweb pages in there, so I can work on it on a BIG screen. How do I do this??

There are two ways you can do this. Are you wanting to share the file between two iWebs or do you just want to work off one machine?

Working from one machine is pretty easy.

Copy the .domain file from ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb (~/ is your profile) to the same folder on the destination machine. That's it. The downside is if you want to edit on the fly on the MacBook you will be out of synch so you'll need to recopy.

There is however a better way.

If you have an external drive then copy the above file to the drive.

Open the directory above i.e. ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb

Inside there will be a .domain file. Rename as a backup.

In the drive where you just copied the .domain file drag that file across holding down the Option and Command keys together. You should notice that there is now a curved arrow in the bottom left of the icon. Drag to ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb.

Repeat this on both machines and now, so long as the drive is connected to the machine in question, you can edit the same file from both machines.

If you don't have an external drive then ensure the machine with the .domain file is on the network and do the same procedure only use the networked machine as the source. I would probably use the MacBook as the source that way you always have the file when you want to use it.

One note though, you need to ensure iWeb '09 is on both machines because you can't use an '09 in '08.
