Hi all

This may be basic for some, but ...
Do you put new email folders UNDER your inbox or outside it ... e.g.

Nigel
.Inbox
..waiting
..action
..reading
.Drafts
.Junk
etc

or

Nigel
.Inbox
.waiting
.action
.reading
.Drafts
.Junk
etc

Does it make a difference to Exchange server, or usability or sync'ing?

If I 'empty cache' on inbox with subfolders, will it effect all subfolders?

Cheers

Nigel

I don't really understand the question, but you can certainly put sub folders under the "in" box online in exchange, Try it and see if you can otherwise elsewhere.

I can't tell you as I don't use subfolders other than on my local store of old emails at work....as I'm not a fan of a confusing in box and my experience has been that gradually people forget how much space they are using and then suddenly you find that you are over your space limit.

Thanks Phil

I'm curious about what you do with emails you have answered, or things you have pending?
Do you file them outside your email program?

Cheers

Emails I have pending I leave in my in box (Merlin Mann of 'inbox zero' fame would be horrified) and all emails I have dealt with, responded to etc, get archived locally on my Mac at work.

Of course I'm well known for responding quickly, so my inbox usually isn't that full.
