Firevault won't turn off 5 Days, 15 Hours ago
Hi

I operate an iMac 2 GHz CPU (bought October 2006) with OSX10.4.11, 512MB RAM, 148GB HardDrive (there's still 90 GB free)

Some time ago I started having problems with Google Earth not loading properly. I finally decided to reinstall and discovered it won't go at all. After looking closely at the cause it appears that Firevault was hiding a required folder.

Now when I try to turn FireVault Off I get an error message saying that there is a decryption error.

I've Run "Disk First Aid" from another CD to try and Repair permissions, also done it through "Spring Clean". I've zapped my PRAM and all else I can think of to fix the FireVault issue. I think I recall reading that Disk Warrior will sort it out but before I try that, (would have to purchase) is there any thing else I can do. I don't intend to leave Fire vault turned off but am frustrated in the interim.

Thank
