Cool Time Machine app 2 Weeks ago
I'm almost convinced I need to buy Time Capsule....other than the fact I don't think I can afford it now that I've bought a new iMac that should be arriving soon....but I discovered this cool article today...
http://db.tidbits.com/article/9597

The app it links to will let you load your backup of Time Machine and have them displayed visually. You can then see big blocks that represent a huge backup of one file, and this is a neat way to know when you're backing up something huge that you might want to eliminate from your Time Machine routine.

Cheers, Phil

I thought long and hard about getting a Time Capsule, but in the end I decided to go for a DIY 750GB external that is partitioned into three logical drives:

1. Daily SuperDuper! clone (190G
2. Time Machine backup (318G
3. Weekly SuperDuper! clone (190G just in case something goes wonky and I've already done one or two clones onto the daily drive.

What I am *kind* of hoping to happen is my reasonably elderly DLink router to finally collapse, in which case I may spring for both an AEBS and an Express.
