Apple TV 2 Months ago
Hi all
I bought an Apple TV last year and I am really enjoying it. But I do have a question about showing photos.
On the TV the photos show as they do in iPhoto, divided into several albums. If for example I want to look at Holidays 2007, I can get a nice slide show with music, Ken Burns effect. The problem arises if I want to look at one particular photo say from Holidays 2007,but it is near the end. I have to go through the whole slide show to get to it. There does not seem to be a fast way to scroll through a list of photos at least I have not been able to find it. But if someone out there does know how, can you please let me know.
Cheers

Re:Apple TV 4 Weeks, 1 Day ago
Apple have a page for submitting enhancement requests for Apple TV. Might be worth dropping that one on the list.
More user requests the more likely it may get focus. http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html

Some features that I have requested,
- TVShow Playlists (we have a lot of 5-10min kids clips and would like to play say 4 in succession, or people may want video music clips for 30mins)
- Genre Browsing for movies (this is now available)
- index navigation on photo albums (like you have stated above)
- Selection of specific music track for a particular slideshow

Re:Apple TV 4 Weeks ago
Hi MattD, thanks for your reply. I have done as you suggested and written to Apple enhancements. Meanwhile, I guess we sit back and wait.
I have just encountered another problem, and wonder if anyone has an easy solution. I have downloaded a number of music video clips from Youtube using a program called Tubesock. These are mostly clips that are not available anywhere else (for example I have been looking for several years for a video or DVD of the musical "Song and Dance" with Sarah Brightman without success, until I found it on Youtube). The downloads have been showing fine on my Apple TV until the last software update. Now I can hear the audio, but there is no video. Now I have to go through the slow process of playing them on my computer and then change the format using Snapz pro. Does anyone have any other easier suggestions?

VisualHub is great for video conversion to AppleTV.

Thanks again! I had tried iSquint, but it did not do the job. Visual hub however works fine and is a lot faster than using Snapz pro.

Great for queuing a number of items or for joining two files.
Generally I rip the items from our DVDs with Handbrake, and for other items that we had in other codecs use VisualHub.
