Okta touch/Mac 1 Month ago
I just got an Okta touch (telecom) mobile. It comes with windoze mobile and sync software for those 'insignificant other' computers but not Mac. Any suggestions?
Nice phone so far.
Also do any of you phone geeks have the best way to bluetooth all my contacts from my old Nokia to my new Okta? At this stage they don't want to pair up at all.

Missing Sync. I use it for Palm and it is the best software I've used so far.

The Missing Sync is great, I use it for my HTC (vodafone) Touch and have had no issues, I also have to sync with my work laptop (MS based) and so far I have had no problems with it dropping any of the sync items between systems, so I would say use the Missing Sync as it seems to work very well.

So which version am I aiming for? For windows mobile 4.0.2?
Larfingas; I wonder what is the difference, if any, between the Vodafun and Telecum operating system?

No difference in the OS as it's just Windows Mobile no matter how you look at it. Unlike ActiveSync the latest version of Missing Sync should be compatible with older versions of Windows Mobile as well.

The difference between Vodafone and Telecom is simply the radio gear specific to each network.

Still confused as to which version of missing sync I'm to go for. I see a choice of Backberry, iPhone, Palm, Sony PSP, Symbian and Windows Mobile. I'm assuming Windows mobile, correct?

The one I use is Missing Sync for windows mobile (V4.0.2).
I knew someone would be able to answer the question on the difference between vodafone and telecow, the only thing I know is I get much better service and coverage from Vodafone.

Hope this helps.

I moved jpg. files from the mac to the htc and can open them OK so I'm ot too sure what to surgest as I have had no problems. The only thing I can think is to try and make the picture files as small as you can and see if that works as the htc has a very small brain.
