Nope, not me.

They're wrong though. Windows can be run on a PPC Mac by using of all things Microsoft's Virtual PC.

It's not too bad running but you'd want a buttload of RAM to get it working smoothly. Unlike Parallels or VMWare however it won't do 3D graphics and never will because it's a discontinued prduct effectively... well will be once Leopard is released which apparently won't support G4 processors.

Oh yeah, and I'm 32 next month (Leopard will be a nice birthday present hint hint) so it definately wasn't me.

I am a Systems Engineer though and considering the bollocks I have to put up with with Windows I whole heartedly agree with said poster.

Yes I heard apple was dropping support for PPCs, but isn't that rumoured to not be untill OS X 10.6, expected around 2009?

I think apple's too kind to drop PPC support this early .

I am reminded of something I came across at a previous place of employment. It was a Mac with a virus. We'd just installed XP on PPC (G4 Power Book) to test out some Windows only serial port software and left it running on the net - and it caught one of these worms. luckily it was a read only boot - so happily rebooted, patched it and let tried surfing the net.

It's not about Apple dropping support for PPC, it's all about keeping a 5 year support gap.

The above article is an awesome read.
