I have just purchased office:mac 2008 and am going toload it onto my imac. I see I can load it onto 3 personal computers and want to put it on my g4 ibook which has not very much memory left can I remove the ms office that is already on there to ensure there is enough room to install it and replace it or will it just over wite?

You say you don't have much "memory" left and not "space". Removing a program..any program, will have no impact on the amount of memory you have left. You may need to either buy some more memory, or if you meant space, you could uninstall the older version.

Be warned though that it is recommended that you have at least 10% of your hard drive space empty at all times, as various things you do require temporary space on a Mac.
