I know that quicken is no longer supported in nz, but it can be downloaded from their website, and some people come to nz with it loaded.

Does any one use Quicken for thier accounts / finances?
does it work with our banks?

Statement downloads from ASB carry the option to be in Quicken format, and that format is used by Cashworks/Moneyworks - a NZ based accounting package that I can strongly recommend, by the way.

thanks azaza.

My wife and I both need to use it, and the quicken format is a 'chequebook' interface, with bank balances immediately accessible. Cashworks operates a ledger system which makes no sense to us 'non-accounting' types because we can't see the current bank balance.

Not sure what you are after, but I got Cha-Ching as part of the MacHesit bundle and it works with imports from ASB... http://www.midnightapps.com/

There's a demo and version 2 should have come out by now but has been delayed. If you buy, I'd clarify if updates are free.
