Have to say that I don't like the location of the tabs at all....and 1Password's shortcut buttoun has disappeared, but it is a beta.

In too much of a rush for work to comment on performance so far.

Reminds me very much of Googles Chrome - although with a lot more polish!

The following may help

...outside of the site I noticed that 1Password doesn't work. I haven't had time to see if any of the hacks work yet in regards to getting it going again.

- Quit Safari
- Locate 1Password in your /Applications folder
- Ctrl-click > Show Package Contents
- Contents > Resources > SupportedBrowsers.plist
- Root > Safari > MaxBundleVersion > Change 5525.9 to 5529
- Start Safari

PS if there will be a newer beta soon and 1Password don't publich a new bersion just do the same and make the MaxBundleVersion number bigger than current running Safari version.

Just did that an hour ago all works fine.
Enjoy

Awesome thanks...that worked. Are you able to provide a link to where you got that info (obviously off a forum) as I like to have sources credited.

Cheers,

This is NOT the Safari 4 I've been using for the past 6 months.

Some of these features take getting used to but man do they make sense. The tabs at the top of the screen are a really nice idea.

The Reload button being in the URL bar actually makes a lot of sense.

Really like the Top Sites look and the idea is quite brilliant.

Bookmarks look nice with the previews.

This is shaping up to be a sweet little update.

Easy answer to that...unless you've been using a very exclusive software install that everyone from Apple managed to keep quiet, you've never been using Safari 4.

Are you just meaning a web-kit revised version of Safari?

I'm seriously hating the tabs at the top sorry. I use tabs repeatedly, and to have to travel further to navigate amongst them is silly. Hope they perhaps offer both options rather than having to hack.

Nope, you're wrong.

I have an Apple Developer account so I have been using Safari 4 which is available to developers.

Try this to get tabs back to normal.

Code:

defaults write com.apple.Safari DebugSafari4TabBarIsOnTop -bool NO

I just like that with having the tabs as the titlebar you get a bit more real estate. It's a nicer option for laptop users with wider than higher screens.
