Works fine for me...but as they say, it is only from a search....so search google...go through a few pages and then snap back to your original search.

Phil

UPDATE - Don't forget also, you can jump back a few pages from any page by holding the mouse button down on the back navigation button and selecting which page you want to go back to.

I do get the 'snapback' button in the search field, but not in the address field. For example, if I go to the NZ Herald and read through several pages, there used to be an orange button to get me straight back to the front page. Now there is a reload button.

As you search, one page inevitably leads to another. Before you know it, you’ve wandered far from your original search results. Thanks to SnapBack, a single click on the SnapBack icon takes you right back to your original search results.

There's a comma after the first 3 words...so I think they just mean, when using inbuilt search....but they could have said it much better.

Oh, sorry, I get what you mean. I think they've replaced your button with the reload. I'd just click and hold the back button and select where you want to go back to...that's how I've always done it.

agree it is missing.
Here is a demo showing how it worked in v3

Phil, not sure but it looks like they extended the number of items in the click and hold on back button. I used to have the problem with the click and hold when I wanted to go further back than (say 10) history items. I would have to jump back x, and then jump back again. I can see nearly 20 in the back button under S4/

But there's a way to tweak other hidden settings without even having to restart Safari to see changes.

It appears that Safari has a special secret menu for that purpose! In fact it's so secret that not even Apple knows about it

1password fix for latest version of Safari....

- Quit Safari
- Locate 1Password in your /Applications folder
- Ctrl-click > Show Package Contents
- Contents > Resources > SupportedBrowsers.plist
- Root > Safari > MaxBundleVersion > Change 5529 to 5530.17
- Start Safari

It was quite easy to figure this out thank to what Matt posted previously!

Full release of Safari 4 for Leopard, Tiger and Windows is now available.
www.apple.com/safari/download/

Hopefully more stable than this beta and less beachballs

Sorry, should have said....my fix above is for the full release, as 1Password stops working.
