Safari 4.0.4 just released. 1Password seems to have coped with the update without any hack needed for me.

Cheers, notice anything different? I wish they had kept the tabs on top in the final release

Umm, my tabs are on top...not sure what you mean? As far as I am aware, 4.0.4 is just a bug fix.

If they have finally improved the ability for Safari to properly remember passwords (I have huge problems with using it with Trademe and not keeping the username/password) then I might be able to stop using Firefox.

Unfortunately I'm not holding my breath as I believe that this has been an issue for some time.

Using Safari 4.0.3 with Trademe, no problems here, 10.5.8 on this 20" duo core intel iMac, same on my brand new 13" MacBook pro running 10.6.

Yes it "works" with Trademe but the issue is that my wife and I both use the Mac under the same logon but have different logons to Trademe and Safari will not remember both of our user ids & passwords. If we had only one and used the "stay logged on" option it would be fine but as we don't have only 1 logon we cannot use this option.
This is a well documented bug with Safari (I recall Googling for a solution some time ago and found that there was no known way around it) and is the only reason that I use Firefox in preference to Safari. If Apple could fix this issue then I would have no need to use Fifefox.
