Wireless LAN Interference Issues 1 Month ago
Hi all.
As of late I have been having some issues connecting to my wireless LAN down one end of my house - it connects fine during the mornings and at every other time of the day except for at night - I have to repeatedly enter in my WPA key and then I keep getting time out errors.

I have done wireless network scans and there is another WLAN close by that I have the same issue wiht when trying to connect to it although i have been able to connect to this network fine because the password i enter is not accepted.

Just wondering how to reduce interference on my WLAN - i have changed the authentication type and channel used but this has not been of any great help. it's a bit of a nuisance really. I cant understand why it works fine during the day but not at nights. I sometimes have to sit right by the access point, join my WLAN and then move down to the end of the house to get the WLAN going. Even then it doesnt stay connected.

Cheers

It could be a couple of other things causing issues. Assuming that you are using the 2.4GHz spectrum both Microwaves ovens and cordless phones can cause interference

Its definitely interference from a neighbouring WLAN. The other WLAN is turned off so I connected first time.

Not sure how to get round this though!
