Mac Friendly Companies

Pros
18 months ago, Witt was on the verge of dumping it's Macs in the Media, Communications & Art Department. Now, they are the envy of the rest of the institute. The Media, Communications & Art Department uses a combination of iMacs, eMacs, iBooks and PowerBooks and all these run via a friendly G4 Dual 1Ghz Server running OSX Server 10.2. They are also hoping that by the start of 2004 they will be running in a totally OSX environment, although at present, this is still under testing.
Cons
Not all of Witt has caught the Mac bug, although they may be feeling a bit green...with envy. At the same time, the Witt site gives no indication of their Mac friendliness (it actually gives little indication as to the computing experience that students may face).
Rating: Excellent
