The Mac platform has reached a 15-year high with 5% market share worldwide, says AppleInsider. While 5% is hardly a number to get excited about in the grand scheme of things, what that 5% actually represents is much more important. According to their sources, "the growth in Mac shipments in the past year represented 20% of the growth in worldwide PC shipments".
Apple has seeded a new version of OS X Lion to developers. Mac OS X 10.7.3 has been seeded with no known issues, and developers are asked to check the following focus areas: iCloud document storage, Address Book, iCal, and Mail. From what I can tell, this upcoming release looks to be primarily about fixing iCloud bugs.
For a long time, djay has been the premier Mac app for creating mashups. ZDNet says djay 4.0 has just been released, with new dj-centric features, which makes it easy for even the least musically inclined to start mixin' it up with some crazy tunes. Plus with the new iCloud integration and an a redesigned UI, djay for Mac seems to tick most, if not all, of the boxes.
The Insanely Great History of Apple is a fantastic poster that showcases every computer ever released by Apple. What's more, the purchasable poster also has the links between the different products Apple has designed, and then later re-invented.
