If you cast you mind back a little, you'll eventually remember a company called Psystar who were selling non-Mac computers that had OS X running on them. It's been almost two years since the original court proceedings, which originally found Apple not guilty of misusing copyright by having it in the OS X license agreement. Naturally, Psystar appealed — and the court has ruled mostly against Psystar.
There's an upcoming feature in iOS 5 which will allow news-delivery and magazine-type apps to automatically be collected and refresh their contents periodically.
Quark App Studio is a Mac app that allows you to create branded iPad apps, and they also have news that Quark App Studio will fully support the iOS 5 Newsstand feature, meaning that app publishers using Quark will be able to sell issues right through Newsstand.
Apple has released a new iTunes 10.5 beta to developers, but without the customary iOS beta to go along with it. Beta 9 brings some fixes and features to iCloud and iTunes Match, but is the second release to not co-incide with a release of the iOS 5 beta — which is now almost a month old.
Dave Caolo shares his favourite Mission Control trick. I won't spoil the surprise here, but you'll need an app that has several windows open. Windows Aero doesn't come anywhere close to this.
