We all know that New Zealand is first to see the light and first to take part in many a global event. The release of Tiger (albeit with slip-ups from some distributors in the States ignored) will be no exception.

Tiger goes on sale at 6pm this Friday and there are a number of locations where you'll be able to pick up a copy, with many Resellers staying open late, some with special events to celebrate the occasion.

To find the closest store to you that will be open on Friday 29 April at 6pm, go to the following page...

Some of the shops holding special events include...

  • MagnumMac in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch - If you buy Tiger on launch night, you'll go into the draw to win an iPod shuffle 1GB (one iPod in each city)
  • DTSL in Palmerston North are opening late and having a wine and cheese night to celebrate
  • Ubertec in Auckland are promising spot prizes of Mac games on the night
  • AppleCentre Waikato will be open 5.30-7.30pm. There'll be finger food and drinks. If you buy on the night, you go into the draw for iWork 05.

NZMac.com hopes to have some pictures from the events but would also welcome any reports and/or images from people attending any of the launch events. If there are any launches that we have missed, feel free to get in touch.

Enjoy everyone!
