BH Projects, located in Auckland, New Zealand, announces the release of Easy Sudoku for Macintosh. Developed exclusively for the Mac, Easy Sudoku is much more fun than the pen and paper version of the game. Easy Sudoku’s quality starts from the ground up, instead of using pre calculated puzzles, the game generates a unique puzzle every time using specially developed algorithms for fast generation, 6,670,903,752,021,072,936,960 different combinations of puzzle are possible.
The game features a big interface without the fiddly controls associated with other Sudoku games. The game starts out with “Play Assists” to make the game easier for beginners. Bad entries are marked, and an onscreen crosshairs makes it easier to spot missing numbers. If you get stuck the game will highlight an easy square, or you can just plain cheat.
With stunning backgrounds and 3D graphics Easy Sudoku is not only easy to play, it’s easy on the eyes too. Instead of just playing with numbers you can play with roman numerals or letters. Once you win your game, without cheating, on one of the game’s five difficulty levels, you can keep your scores to yourself or submit your time to the world high scores. Instead of using web pages the world high scores are built into Easy Sudoku. Browsing the high scores for different difficulty settings or game modes is build around a familiar Cocoa interface. Battling your way into the top scores against the best in the world adds a whole new dimension of enjoyment to Sudoku.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Easy Sudoku has four different variations of Sudoku in addition to the classic game everyone is familiar with. The popular X Factor, Hyper and Color Sudoku modes are joined by a new one: Cubedoku. Players are presented with a six sided 3D cube with 486 numbers for marathon Sudoku sessions.
