UPDATE I'm really pleased to be able to offer these coffee mugs to you, to allow you to support the NZMac.com website. In the end I decided to go with mugs from CafePress.com that I have used before. It allows me to offer you a high quality coffee mug with a full colour NZMac.com logo and a choice of two sizes (standard or large). It does mean they are a little more expensive than first planned, but they are fantastic quality and you're in the running to win if you support the site.
There are 13 standard and 14 large coffee mugs available.....but there are also amazing prizes up for grabs to purchasers! Update - ALL SOLD OUT!!
For every 9 coffee mugs sold (prizes to be drawn each time I've gotten rid of 9):
- 1 person will win a copy of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard
- 1 person will win a special laptop backpack, sized to hold a 17" MacBook Pro
- 2 people will win a neoprene laptop sleeve in their choice of 13", 15" or 17" sizes
The prizes are all donated by Toshcomputers.com...many thanks to them for their continued support of the site
Coffee Mugs will only be posted to a New Zealand address.
Posting to overseas can be arranged, but you will need to pay any additional postage required in advance and you will not be eligible to win a prize.
Payment via PayPal
In order to get a coffee mug, you must donate $30 (or more) for a standard coffee mug or $35 (or more) for a large coffee mug. The easiest way to pay is via PayPal, which accepts credit card payments. Please keep an eye on this news item if (he says ever hopeful) I sell out of any size.
If you use PayPal, please email me ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) immediately, to let me know that you have completed the transaction. Please include your name and postal address. PayPal does send me some details, but I also need details from you.

Alternative payment methods
I'm more than happy to accept a bank transfer or cheque. In both cases the transactions must clear before I will send the coffee mug to you. Please email me if you wish to do a bank transfer or pay by cheque, and I will send you my bank details or postal address (

Thank you!!
I'd like to take this opportunity (in advance) to thank those that donate to support the site. I really appreciate the support and hope that you will enjoy the coffee mugs...I know I love the one I have had for a couple of years now!
Cheers, Phil
[Update 1]Draw 1
To ensure impartiality, I asked a colleague at work to use a computer randomiser to pick the winners of the prizes in the first draw. The randomiser was set to pick a number between 1 and 9, but he was invited to click the mouse multiple times (without looking) and stop. That number was then used to select a winner. As people have been buying more than one mug (thanks!) they have had more than one chance to win.
Congratulations to :
- Kathy Kendal - who wins a copy of Mac OS X Leopard
- Kathy Kendal - who wins the backpack also
- Grant Thompson - who wins a laptop sleeve
- Mark Jackson - who wins a laptop sleeve
[Update 2]Draw 2
To ensure impartiality, I asked a colleague at work to use a computer randomiser to pick the winners of the prizes in the first draw. The randomiser was set to pick a number between 1 and 9, but she was invited to click the mouse multiple times (without looking) and stop. That number was then used to select a winner. As people have been buying more than one mug (thanks!) they have had more than one chance to win.

[Update 3]Draw 3
To ensure impartiality, I asked a friend visiting my place to use a computer
randomiser to pick the winners of the prizes. The
randomiser was set to pick a number between 1 and 9, but he was
invited to click the mouse multiple times (without looking) and stop.
That number was then used to select a winner.
Congratulations to :
- Murray Whittington - who wins a copy of Mac OS X Leopard
- Paul Scotti - who wins a backpack
- Cliff Thomas - who wins a laptop sleeve
- Nigel Oxnam - who wins a laptop sleeve

Anything gratefully accepted By the time freight from the US (where the mugs were made) and postage to send them out is included, I'm not making a huge amount. I'm not wanting to get into specifics here (you could email me if you like if you really do want to know)....I'd rather just say that anything above the amount indicated would be as gratefully accepted as those that pay the indicated amounts. Hope that is OK...and thanks |
