Got a Facebook account? Yeah, me neither...but I hear that many people do...and now you can use that account to register and login to NZMac.com instead of registering separate password details. It adds an extra level of security for you, as authentication (logging in) is all handled by Facebook and not NZMac.com. None of your Facebook authentication details (i.e., your email and password) are sent to or stored by NZMac.com. And the great news is that those users already registered here can convert their account login to use Facebook.
Another neat feature is that when you login this way for the first time, your Facebook avatar and profile details (hometown etc) will appear on NZMac.com...so make sure you backup those site avatars the first time you use Facebook connect. This will only happen the first time, so you can easily choose to go back to your old avatar and remove some of the profile info that has been imported.
Details on how to use Facebook Connect can be found in this new Quick Tip. If you have any questions about the new feature, please post them in the forum area.
