There is no compulsion for users to participate in this process, however it is hoped that it will allow for an expansion in the amount of Mac-related news that is published, as well as an opportunity for User Groups to publish news items if they see fit. IMPORTANT: If you are a regular users of this site but have not written an article for NZMac.com, and would like to be involved in submitting news, please send me an email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) and I will add you to the Author list.
If you feel news like that should be on this site, then now is your opportunity to make it happen. I want to stress 5 things:
This process will also allow others to publish press releases that in the past I have had to set aside and deal with later. If you see a news item that fits the criteria that this article discusses, then feel free to post it. I also need to point out that this is not an opportunity for those that visit this site occasionally to publish news. It is also not an opportunity for an onslaught of press releases from around the world. Instead it is an opportunity for regulars of the site to contribute and to expand the scope of news and to help with the site (if you wish). Finally, as this feature is new, please allow for time for the process to settle, for the guidelines to be revised and altered. At all times, you should refer to the guidelines in the forum for the latest information of accepted practice and the approach to publishing. Many thanks in advance to those that take the opportunity to support NZMac.com in its role of supporting the New Zealand Mac community. PS....If you are a company and are reading this...NO....this is not an opportunity to start sending press releases. As stated on the contacts page, NZMac.com does not which to receive unsolicited press releases. What news goes up will be determined by the users of this site in association with the guidelines listed in the forum :-) Related Articles

I'd like to take a moment to explain the reasoning behind setting up this new feature. Firstly, because of the time commitment to publishing news items, you will notice that other than direct Apple related news and Site news items, there are few other news items published on a regular basis. This has meant that major events such as the recent launch of the Adobe Creative suite CS3 applications have not been covered by this site with the exception of postings in the forum.
