Firefox FAQ
How do I remove names I want firefox to forget, without disabling all passwords?
Written by Philip RoyThe ability of Firefox to remember what you've entered into forms is handy. However unlike some other browsers that let you individually edit the things it remembers, Firefox is a little difficult...making removing a nagging entry you don't want appearing difficult.
In the screenshot below, I once accidentally typed "nzedmac" as a username and I didn't mean to. However, every time I come to the web site involved and type 'n', it reminds me and suggests two entries. I don't want it to.
Here's how to get rid of it....
- Type the letter to get the suggestion to appear (in this case 'n')
- Use the up and down arrows on the keyboard to select the selection you want to remove
- Press and hold the 'shift' key down and press 'Delete' on the keyboard. If that doesn't work, try 'shift-option' and 'delete" at the same time
