So, I have kind of solved my own question. Apparently upgrading to Lion isn't always seamless. My MacBook simply went in to some kind of hibernation to help itself cool. 427.00 of tech fees later, its up and running.

Can anyone offer me some help, or a hanky.....

I have a gorgeous Macbook pro. It never misses a beat. On the weekend I received an Apple email saying I must migrate my mobile me files to I-cloud before 30 June. In order to do this I had to download Lion. No problem. It appears to have some fab features. Then I tried to open Fusion as I have one program that only operates on windows. It wouldn't open.

I called a technician and, 2 hours later, everything seems to be working...except the rainbow wheel was turning on my email which was strange. Tech said it would be "building" itself.

Now, my mac is dead. It collapsed when I tried to compose an email, and then opened safari to compose a gmail when mac mail wouldn't work.

How can a laptop go from functioning perfectly to dead in such a short time?

Can it be resusitated?

I am very nervous about calling the tech again. Any thoughts on getting it to start?
